What is a more accurate reading?

I went and had my truck tested at 2 different shops. One of them put the meter on the dash and one of them held the meter above the dash. I was wondering if this makes a difference and if it does which one is more accurate because i had a big variation in the 2 scores.

But how do they do it in comps? Do they put it on the dash?

Depends on which organization you are trying to compare to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Meca has a few different mic locations depending on which category you compete in (in the kick, at the headrest, etc).

DBDrag on the other hand always measures with the sensor above the dash, attached to the windshield.
