bridging subs

is there a noticable difference when bridging subs. will it make them louder or hit harder.

i have a 2 channel amp. just to get this bridging stuff straight is this what it looks like.

Commonly on a two channel amp running in bridged mode you'll connect the positive output from the left channel and the negative output on the right channel to whatever you're driving with the amp.

I wouldn't imagine your specific amplifier (if we're still discussing the Logic unit you've been posting about) is stable at lower than 4 Ohms when in mono bridged mode so you'll want to have a final resistance of no lower than 4 Ohms presented to the amp.

See this link for a quick, easy guide on how to wire different combinations of subs with differing voice coil configurations to a specific final resistance.

there would be no noticeable difference... but I would still do it so that you get a mono signal to both subwoofers.

you'd have to connect those subs in series as well. It looks like you just have two wires vanishing into thin air.

what kind of subs? we need to make sure that you CAN bridge the amp and keep it stable.
