what HU to choose?? listen up, help

After having my indash dvd stolen, I decided to just get a regular head unit cd player. Whats a good one? I always told myself that I would get a alpine if I didnt get a dvd player. What do you guys have? I dont want to spend too much, since I dont really care about audio anymore. I just want a nice little head unit now. Maybe $250 max online. Whats a good one?

ive had good sucess with kenwood HU's, but i guess it depends on what features you want.

I dont care about any features. I dont care about car audio anymore. Im not hooking any subs up anymore. Just interior speakers I will have playing. I just want to fill the hole with a decent deck. I dont know

alpine 9847 can be had for very cheap as its the o5 model and is nice..
