That is weird that he wouldn't have fixed that simple issue for you. Can you feel the wood through the surround?

Not sure I didn't want to open up the box but looks like I will have to now.

Oh man. Def not good. That can rip/tear the surround as you prob already know. How close are you to @Popwarhomie? Perhaps he can go with ya to the shop and remedy the situation.

I know this is a tight community and I may have just set off some fireworks but I tried talking to them before this and to no avail. I have now come to realize I gotta do this on my own. Was gonna go to the shop but have already been told by them that they aren't doing anything. Just wanted to see if everyone that's not responsible saw the same thing I did. Guess I will rip the box apart myself and will probably have to send the sub to sundown for repair out of my pocket. Lesson learned.

I wouldn't give up quite yet. Make them realize their mistake and fix it. Possible a new sub too if they did indeed play it already and if the surround is damaged.

********** said its not rubbing and the surround was glued like that from being reconed.
