What happened to 2 gauge?

As the title states: What happened to all of the 2 gauge wire available from almost every major wire company? This used to be a very common size wire in car audio. I'd rather not incur the additional cost and installation hassle of installing 1/0 since I'm only running two of the Alpine PDX amps. 2 gauge should be more than adequate, but I can't find any of reputable quality.

i found some on ebay about 3 months ago. scosche i think. came with an amp kit that had the older zero noise streetwire interconnects in it. they threw in 16 feet of 2 guage with the kit claiming that it would carry just as much power as the 0/1 gauge without the extra weight and hassle.
