what guage amp kit do I need

X2 ^^^^ most are porbably gunna tell you to do 0/1 from the battery to the distro block then two 4 gauge runs to each amp but I think just 4 gauge will be good for you... I would say Knukonceptz as brand suggestion too

what about the dist. block, can it be 4 guage in and 2- 8 guage outs
What amps are you using? While I agree that you should be fine with 4awg, I'd also say use 4awg throughout, even after the distro block. I personally would just pick up a 1/0 dual amp kit. Run 1/0 to the distro, run 4awg to the amps. Will it be more than you need right now? Absolutely, but it also leaves you with room to upgrade so you don't have to go buy another kit if you ever decide you want more power.

Edit:Looks like it took me a while to type my response, but that's two people in a row telling you this now, so I'd go with it.
