Question right now I bought a kicker solo barric l5 12inch later down the road I would like to get l7 or another l5 . My question is should I go with 0 gauge wire or get 4 gauge wire? This is my first system I want to do it right so any positive input would be great appreciated.

thanks,

Blake

If you ever plan on using over 1000 watts use 1/0.
x2

If you ever plan on upgrading EVER, use 1/0.

My dad had a spool of 2-AWG laying around his shop and I used it on my system, I'm running about 1200 RMS through that 2-AWG, and the wire's fine. But next upgrade I get, amp wise, I'm getting 1/0 throughout the car first.

Right now to get me threw winter hopefully I bought Jbl that is like 700 watt (sorry not the tech term) But I want 1000wat amp but don't have the cash yet. God I am hook on this audio stuff:crazy: cant wait to get the sub on wed I plan get box build . So you think I should stay with 4 gauge?

Ok thank for the help. And the car can only benefit from having bigger wire right if I going to get sub in couple months right? What good place to get o gauge wire?

I have a rd1000.1 (underrated) and 4 awg is fine with it. IF you have a newer car and plan on keeping or even will want to upgrade sometime. deffinately 1/0.

If not knukoncepts 26.99 4 awg kit is perfectly fine with 1k watts
