What gauge power wire?

What gauge power wire should I use for my Kenwood KAC-9152D Amplifier.

I am currently using 4Ga, but sometimes my subs shut off because I think there is too much power being crammed through the smaller 4Ga wire. Could this be the problem? Too small power wire? If so, what size do I need?

4awg is fine for that amp.

More than likely what is happening is your electrical system can't handle the amp. Have you upgraded the big 3 yet? Try that and then have your alternator and battery tested to see if they are still in good conditon.

Yes, I have an upgraded battery, 750 cranking amps, and a good enough alternator. What else could be the problem?

do the big three, use at least 4ga to ground the battery to chasis, alternator to battery (with fuse) and engine to ground i believe, that should help
