What Gauge of wire do you use?

so would it be redundent to Upgrade from a 4 Gauge to a 1 gauge if im pushen 700 rms?
Redundant would be replacing 4 guage with 4 guage, look up the word //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you think you might upgrade to a more powerful amplifier(s) later, then putting in 1/0 would be a great idea. However, if you are satisfied with your current set-up and do not feel the need to add power any time soon then upgrading to the 1/0 would be a waste of cash. The 4 guage should be allright to around 1500w, then I would upgrade.

I use 1/0 AWG from http://www.WeldingSupply.com for everything power related...

my bad then "pointless"

One run of 1/0 and one run of 4 guage. 1/0 ground. I just left the existing 4 guage running and ran another strand along with it. This wouldn't hurt anything to have two seperate strands of dif size wire running to a distro would it?
