What Gauge of wire do you use?

What size you all use? Im curious to see if im in the norm or below average. I used to use a really small one out of a wiring kit i bought 4 $15 I recently installed a 4 gauge ground wire and power wire

1/0 to the back, then distro-ed to 4 to the 2-channel, and 1/0 to monoamp

If you think you might upgrade to a more powerful amplifier(s) later, then putting in 1/0 would be a great idea. However, if you are satisfied with your current set-up and do not feel the need to add power any time soon then upgrading to the 1/0 would be a waste of cash. The 4 guage should be allright to around 1500w, then I would upgrade.

One run of 1/0 and one run of 4 guage. 1/0 ground. I just left the existing 4 guage running and ran another strand along with it. This wouldn't hurt anything to have two seperate strands of dif size wire running to a distro would it?
