what fuse for viper d1200.1 amp?

what kind of fuse would i use for a viper D1200.1 amp with 8 gauge power and ground wires? also the manual recommends that we use 4 gauge. would using 8 be okay?

I would NOT use 8 guage wiring... Get a 4 guage wiring kit, and you should be allright with a 100A fuse.
