what freq. to tune box to?

ok i have a few questions. my sub only has a sealed box volume and does not tell me the ported volume. the sealed is 1.25 cubic feet^3 so would 1.75 or 2.0Cubicfeet^3 work? the sub has a responce rate of 20 to 100 hertz how would i find out what to turn the box to? i listen to mostly rock and heavy metal and i have heard the type of music can make a difference on what you want to turn it to. well thanks for all your help.

If it is those lightnings subs in your sig then yes 1.75 to 2.5 each is a good volume. And tunning is up to you. 35hz is the ideal average tunning for most speaker boxes.

If you're mostly listening to rock or heavy metal, 28-30Hz would do nicely.

well i just want to see how they would sound ported anyways one more question how big should i make the port? 1.5 2 or 3 i dont know how to make that descision and my searches came up with nothing! well thanks again for all the advice

Two LAP3.4's at least 30 square inches of port area. Say a 3.25 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz.

With a Qts of 0.648 sealed would be a better choice IMO,
