What Does Volts Pre Out Mean??

Pre-out voltage refers to how strong the signal is on the Hu's rca connections. Higher voltage allows you to run your amp's gains lower - which will reduce the chance of getting signal noise to the speakers.

well what kind of amp do you have? if your 4 channel is bridgable at 2 ohm's then u can run each comp to the amp using 2channels a peice..meaning you wont be able to run your rear speakers on the amp..if u want to use th rears do it off the h/u...

amp is ALPINES MRV-F540

# 150W x 4 (Max)

# 200W x 2 RMS [4Ohm Bridged @ 14.4V (0.3% THD)]

# 100W x 4 RMS [2Ohm @ 14.4V (0.3% THD)]

# 80W x 4 RMS [4Ohm @ 14.4V (0.08% THD)]

# 140W x 2 RMS [4Ohm Bridged @ 12V (0.3% THD)]

# 70W x 4 RMS [2Ohm @ 12V (0.3%THD)]

# 50W x 4 RMS [4Ohm @ 12V (0.08% THD)]

# Bass Engine

# HP/LP/BP Adjustable Crossover

# One Side Terminal Layout

# Top Mounted Controls

# Control Panel Cover

# Alpine V12 PWM MOSFET Power Supply

# 4 Volt Input Capability

if you're comps are 4ohms, you cant make the amp see 2 ohms on each. unless you can bridge two channels to mono and wire your comps in parrellel... but that wouldn't be bright.

so why do virtually all companies state that u get an increse in rms by running your speakers at 2ohm loads... i don't get why they even mension that then if its such a bastard to pull off and obviously isn't a stable idea... thnx anywayz

amp companies.

this is something that you should think about before you either: a.) buy your comps -or- b.) buy your amp.
