Back to the original topic that I was talking about. Marijuana is no worse for you than alcohol is, so why is it illegal?

Where has it been proven that marijuana is no worse than alcohol? You keep saying it as if it's a fact, but it's your opinion

Facts.

People die from alcohol poisining.

People die from drunk driving and/or drink drivers.

People die from dealing weed.

Alcohol is sold legally.

Weed is illegal to possess and sell.

Weed can cause paranoia and skitzofrenia (sp?) if used regularly from an early age.

Weed and Alcohol are both addictive and expensive habits.

Alcohol has already been illegal once in this country.

Judging on which one is worse than the other is opinion.

because a majority of politicians are alcoholics...

People would still sell it illegally, just like moonshine/illegal alcohol. I know people can make their own cigarettes but ive never heard of anyone growing their own tobacco for it but people still sell cigs illegally.

sure some people would still buy it illegally. but a majority of people would stop, go down to the convenient store and buy a pack of joints. lol

Not to butt in between arguments but if pot "WAS" legalized a lot of people would probably lose interest in it altogether since it's legal...
