I know the concept of it but what exactly does it do? Increase watts the amps putting out?
dang you beat me to it, wasn't here when i posted sorry didn't mean to jack your post.Bass boost generally gives a boost around a certain frequency. Typically it sounds like crap and adds distortion. Avoid if possible, or if you really like the way it sounds, just do it at lower volume and it'll at least be safe.
when it squares off (running a non square wave) this is both clipping, and causes distortion. main thing with clipping is that it rejects proper coolingAlso, when a sine wave is squared off, is this clipping or would it just be distortion since it doesn't "go off the graph" per say
I answered this above (i think)I know it sounds ****** and causes distortion and clipping, I'm wondering the actual mechanics on it, such as how it boosts it. . And NINE, remote gain turns the gain up and down from the point you have it set on the amp.
this is allso what i do.its a shame that ALL songs are not recorded the same way.I use my remote gain but only on songs that have really low bass. I actually need to turn my primary gain up and my remote gain down at some point.
