i would like to see who on here does this as a job. if there are any owners installers years of exp and certs if you have any. if you went to school or anything. and mabye we can have a professional section where the actual pros can offer shop like advise. fastest ways or tricks of the trade kind of thing.

what say u?

Other sites had 'professionals' hosting sections involving their specialties, like one site had Richard Clark and Mark Eldridge with their own sections, but that looks like it doesnt work since there are few recent posts in them when the main guys arent responding very often (if they respond at all).

i dont want a personal section, thats not what i ment. waht i was trying to say was have a section for DIYers and another for pros to see waht the difference is and whatadvise is out there. also to have credentials we have listed. idk just an idea.

I took shop class in high school... Make me a personal section where I can answer all your box building needs!!!!
difference is if you actually have a shop or mabye several boxes under your belt vs a guy who took shop and doesnt giving advise...who would you trust. i wasnt saying restrict anyones posting availability or anything just a section where a shop with proven credentials can give professional advise.

So what your saying is separate the site into one half getting crappy amateur advice and the other half getting good advice from an elite few.. How would you regulate who posts in the elite section? Cause if only the elites can then no one would ask questions and get answers. But if everyone can then it just becomes like the rest of the site where everyone can answer. If you really wanna do something like that then just have a special mark for people that own shops or something.. But then again those people wouldn't want to be bothered all the time since they do own shops they are busy. They also wouldn't want to search for questions to answer about specific things they know.

Say one guy knows boxes and the other knows amps one guy doesn't wanna search through all the amp questions to find the box one. So you would have to in that section make a bunch of sections that would organize it for teh gods of audio and in a sense you just made a whole other website.

Easier has been stated if they want to help they can post where everyone else does and if you want to know who the really good ones are it's the ones with more posts... Doesn't even matter if it is only 1 more post than you, he automatically knows more. Unless you take year they came in into the equation and for every year they have been here that you haven't you subtract 1k of your posts before comparing. So an 09er with 1k posts knows more than a 10er with 1999 posts since you subtract 1k the 10er is down to 999 which means the 09er is smarter with more posts...

You would just get all the "know-it-all" dumbazzes on here arguing with the pros about who does it better. That's why none of the big name guys get on sites like this one. Too many dumbazz know-it-all noobs & wannabes.

What the fuck are you talking about? Post count and length of membership means not-a-damn-thing. For example, I've loved car audio for 14 years longer than I've been a member of ca.com. Most guys that have a lot of posts, like me, make a lot of bs posts and hold conversations with other members that we like talking to. A lot of it doesn't even pertain to car audio...
