what do you play your music off?

i play mine off a usb stick, it seems to be louder then cds and aux..

just curious if others use usb sticks, im thinking of buying another one for more space, just wondering if theres anything in particular i should look for when buying one? possibly off of ebay.

I have a small usb stick just for a few demo and tuning tracks. Eventually I'll be getting an old school 160hb ipod to have all my music on, seamlessly integrated in the USB.

Usually I use CD or my Zune through my aux input. CD or USB is best for quality.

For a usb stick, you want to look for something with a higher read speed, to make it easier on your head unit. And most people say head units are good up to about 16gb, and then become more laggy after that size; so you should be good with that size.

Careful, a lot of people have had terrible results trying to use a hard drive. Usually the head unit processor isn't powerful enough to keep up with the indexing. Most people agree a classic ipod 160gb is the way to go. You essentially use it as a harddrive, but it also handles the indexing itself, so the HU is just an interface.

I use a 160gb ipod and it's ideal, plenty of space. I don't think a 32gb would be enough for me but if they made something around 60 to 80gb that'd be about right.

I use aux and my smartphone. Plenty loud. Through many test thou, CDs have been consistently the loudest/clearest. In theory that's no difference, but decent ears can tell.

i hook up my iphone via usb. then i can have complete control through the hu. its not ideal as i get ipod errors maybe once a week but if that happens i just unplug it and plug it back in. works for me.

Is there a large difference in quality from a iphone to a cd? I don't have any noticeable distortion, cause most of my music is high quality. I've also heard that bass is louder on cd's because the music is not compressed, truf?
