What do you like or dislike about jl amps

It's been said, good but over priced. There are other companies that will perform the same or possibly better for a lower price. If you already have the amps, I'd just stick with them. No need to trouble yourself selling good amps.

goods- regulated power, sound good
bads-price, power hogs(regulated ones at least)

I remember reading a magazine about the JL 300/4 and they said it sounds pretty good and has good power, not very efficient.

Their stuff is good, it's expensive for what it is but they have very good resale value. One of my friends used to have two 12" JL W1s in a sealed box and a MTX 250 watt sub amp in his 2000 Celica and it was hella impressive for how little power he had.

i had an e4300 and it got really hot, never shut off though. not much power, replaced it with an mbquart 4200, for $50 less i got a lot more amp. i have wanted to try the 300/4 though.

Aight so I'm stickin with the JL but what do you guys think of throwin the e4300 on the rear coaxials and runnin the 500/5 active on the front comps? I am in the process of putting 2 05 re xxx 18s off a saz3000d at 1ohm and I want the rear to hear the music over the bass... somewhat.
