what do I do, Remote turn on Cable

Hey! I just got done running the wires and everything else for my new amp, BUT I do not know what the heck to do with the Remote Turn on cable thingy, where does it go and what the heck does it do? I can't find anything in the back of my head unit where a Remote Turn on Cable would be run to, only the preamp RCA ports. I have a Kenwood KDC-3022/322 if that helps....thanks!

on that harness on the back of you deck somewhere there is a wire that is the remote turn on lead. usually it is blue but consult your manual to be sure. the deck tells the amp to turn on through that wire.

it does not have a remote wire on the deck...

well then u can run a possitive power wire from your battery...no need to use a large type of wire...any guage above 16 can work...or 16 if u like...place a switch on the wire and then run it to the amp and connect it to the remote wire input...

just use the switch as the amplifier turn on/off from there on
