I have a dual2cvr an I wired it up an then I read u want to connect pos. an neg. Term with speaker wire. Well when I did this I didn't think it mattered. My amp has been getting very hott really fast. Wld this have anytjing to do with connecting the wrong terminals. I have a rockford fosgate t500.2

It's just kicker's way of showing you which terminals go to which voice coil, most subs just have the terminals 2 to a side, kicker has them spread apart and the 2nd voice coil has the dots so you know which is which.

Also that amp isn't 1 ohm stable bridged. The way you have it wired is giving it a load lower than it can handle.

Connect the positive with no dot the negative with a dot and then take your remaining positive and negative and connect it to the amp. (should be positive with a dot and negative with no dot)

You'll be running at 4 ohms bridged so it shouldn't overheat anymore.

I have speaker wire running from a negative to positive terminal(not sure if they are terminals with dots or not) then the left over pos. An neg I have ran to my amp bridged. So doesn't that give me 4ohms bridged? Also my amp is 1ohm stable I think. So would it make sense for my amp to overheat if I have the wrong terminals together?

Just read my post. Your amp is 1 ohm stable Per channel, not bridged

Just do what my post says and you'll be fine.

Says the man with a tibby and cvr's...
So because I drive a tiburon and have cvrs I can't answer a simple question and call you out on trolling? Good one..
