Obsidian subs

Never had any personal experience with Lazar but it claims to put out 1,600 at 1.3ohm, however, you can wire the D2s to 0.5ohm, 2ohm, or 8ohm. so at 2ohm you'd be looking at 550 watts each. Slightly under max suggested RMS, but under powering never hurt anyone, but then again it never made anyone's heart skip a beat. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif But yes, that amp and sub will do you just fine if you aren't interested in more power, but keep in mind more power means more work(more money also). Upgrading electrical, more $$ on wire, amps, batterys and so it goes on and on. Don't run out and buy it just yet, wait til you hear from a few people who have had experience with Lanzar, I've never touched one.

I've heard great things about Obsidian, I'm sure you could get a bigger amp and push em a bit harder, 1k each? (someone jump in on that)

But then again, you might have to look into electrical upgrades if you took the more power route.

Edit: Just saw the price, $300 isn't the best deal for that bad boy. You could surely get something with a bit more kick for three bills. Look around a bit more, people will start giving you suggestions, we also have a used car audio section here, where you can find thing's much cheaper then retail.

Are you going for Sound Quality, or just pure "it's hard to breathe in here"

If your going for the "it's hard to breathe in here" (the hard hits that displace air) you'll need ( I guess you wont NEED it, but it'll make a difference) more power.

Get some dims of the CR-V and lets see what you can fit and how it can work in that application. With knowing the space we are just tossing out ideas on what may or may not work.

Obsidian subs are a great product though and sound great. We have used them several times and built many enclosures for their subs.

As for power, base that on the subs end up going with. Also, make sure your electrical is setup properly for the power you will be running.

I think the use of the word "wall" is not an accurate depiction of what he means though.

"Trunk-wall" "Sealed off trunk"

What do you want from me Pro-Rabbit?!

When most say "Wall" or "walled" everyone will think you mean well a wall.

Sealing off the trunk is not actually a wall setup persay.

lol just makes it confusing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

It's like a mini suv
Indeed, but do you know the space you have available to use?

The maximum Height x Width x Depth that you can use for an enclosure.

That will give us a better idea on what you can put back there.

Do you plan to build or buy an enclosure? That can alter things as well.
