you wouldn't be interested in selling it for 5,000 to me?

They look for customers that dont know the value of their trade in.

The kind of car isnt important, they can always sell it at an auction.

What is important is how much they can make off the trade in.

If they fail to make much profit off the trade in they will look to keep most of the markup in the car the customer is buying.

(Theres no winning if your the customer in other words.)

X2

Also they'll tell you that they will give you what your asking. But when the deal is done, run your numbers and you'll realize that they only gave you about $1500 for your car.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Sell it on the street or to one of your buddies.

do not trade it. you'll get the worst deal ever. my friend just traded in his 95 4-runner. had 40" tires adn 5" lift, brand new upholstery, hella lights and hd's, new tint, and a new motor and ****** swap and he only got $3500 for it. i was WTF, he could have easily sold it for $7000.

Dealerships don't give a shit about aftermarket parts. He should have listed it in local classifieds, or on a 4-Runner forum. He could have doubled his income on it.
