what can i use in my car buick le sabre

i got the stock head unit looking to eventually upgrade it but its got the steering wheel controls volume track change am/fm... would it be possible for to change the head unit and maintain the use of these buttons?

car is a 1997 Buick LeSabre limited uses a concertsoundII stock speaker set.
