What battery should i get for my 160A amp?

hi, i have a ph5000d boss amplifer wich is 40A x 4 = 160A at 5000w

what car battery should i get? should i get one that is 160A?

You don't need one. At best, you'll get 1,900 watts out of that amp.

You don't really need one unless you get horrible voltage drop and/or headlight dimming.

What do you mean? Batteries aren't rated in amps.

Probably says 62ah, means it can put out 62 amps over the course of an hour before it drops below 10V

You prolly wont need one but if you really wanna add one it depends on how much money you wanna spend. Onthe budget side ANY battery from auto zone or walmart will work try to find the highest amp hour battery you can. If you have 170$ to spend grab a Kentic HC1800 it will be plenty big for that boss and leave you room to grow if you upgrade amps.

Not hating but that boss amp is not exactly great your best bet is to get a budget decent quality amp. Something like an audiopipe apc 1800 or even an audiopipe apsm2000 (165.00$) either budget amp will put that boss to shame.

k, ill try the amp and subs on my stock battery and check if it works out ok. if not im thinking of an kinetik battery
