I have a DC 250 amp alt powering Sundown 3000's. Looking for the cheapest/best batteries to do the job. Would love powermaster D3100's but pricey, also thought of the big C&D's...but don't know if it's worth getting 1 or 2 D3100's or 3 or 4 different big batteries? Got the big three done and kinetik 1800 under the hood.

You can get 2 powermaster d1200's for only $11 more than a d3100 and they'll give you more power

and I'm running 2 of the big c&d batts on a sundown 3k at .5ohm and they do just fine, barely any voltage drop
Hmm cool, so would you say 4 big C&D's? Or like 4 powermaster D1200's? or 2 D3100's or another option similiar for 2 3000's.

what about bumpin's spv 70's they are a great deal
I just searched and he don't have any more but I just need SOMETHIN I really don't care. I just need to get rid of my walmart batteries, since they arent sealed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif And need something to handle my sundowns at the best price.

You are going to be minus a few hundred amps when you are listening to it cranked up, a battery will only sustain that kind of load for so long. The smaller they are the faster they are going to be drained. I would do 3 group 31

Just to put things in perspective I have seen guys try running 1 battery recommended for over 4000 watts of power on a 200 amp alt that does 140 amps at idle on a memphis 4k and he gets a huge drop and runs into issues after less than 30 seconds unless it gets peaked off with a charger.

Called on the NGT extremes and they are 220ish. Looks like I'll be going with 3 of the deka's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good choice on the dekas as they are the same battery as the ngt's...

Yea I still dunno what I'm doing. I got my two everstart maxx's and they actually do a decent job it's just they aren't sealed but there is nothing wrong with them. So my choices are either run my two maxx's and just pick up another or two for 85 each brand new. Or get two big C&D's used for 170 for both but atleast they are sealed and run them two with my two everstarts. Or get some of the deka's which cost the most money. Just dunno if I should run whatever else I get with the two I already have or what. I just know I need atleast three batts in the back.

I hear ya...

One of the reasons on why I decided on the NGT's is that I bought them from my local car quest...

So they come with full warranty in the case of having to replace them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
