What are your Thoughts on eDead v1se?

Umm, I don't pay for food
Ok, I want opinions from people that have used it or have helped apply it. I am looking at cheap (in price) deadener and eDead v1se has caught my eye. It is $1.28 per sq/ft which I know is a good price. It is 60mils thick, butyl based, it's the "newest" version.

I will be applying this to my Front Doors for more midbass response and my trunk to get it to shut up.

I don't want eD hate, because you just hate them, I want honest opinions of the product, negative or positive.

Thanks.

I have it man

and just the v1butyl

Its alright stuff for the money, i haven't used anything else but dynamat extreme for comparison

It hasn't peeled on me, and it definately works

On a budget its a killer deal, as far as I can see

they are known to fall off. I think it'd be okay of your deadening the floor, but i wouldnt' recommend it for anything else. If i could go back to before i bought the v.2 or whaterver it was i would've just bought the liquid deadener.

I have not used the SE but have used the V1. I bought it a few months back when it was for $1 sqft. It doesnt stick well to any surfaces. They also sent me a small sample of the new butyl and it is more stickier. But The best I have used so far is Dynamat Xtreme.

But Im sure the V1se is good stuff!

I've used it with great results, the key is to heat it up nice with a heat gun, then apply while hot, get some gloves. But that seemed to get it extremely pliable and sticky.

Well I will throughly clean my doors with rubbing alcohol, maybe some EC if I'm feeling generous //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/beatdeadhorse5.gif.5d70132dea1eb89b73bf2fdbb6027dd6.gif

Let's hope it will stick.

its $1.28 with forum pricing.

The normal v1 is $0.80

Nah , use one of these, they get hotter then a hair dryer.

Rammat FTW!! I have used both and will never use anything but Rammat again. The ED crap was falling off after about a year. Luckily for me I sold the vehicle and the next owner can deal with it. Rick at Rammat is great to deal with also, great product for a little more money.

i have used both v1se and the new v1se2

i put the v1se on my front doors and trunk lid.

on the trunk lid i followed up with like 5 coats of v3.

several months later i noticed the stuff in the doors was coming off.

but i attribute this mostly to my crappy cleaning job before putting it on.

the v1se+v3 on the trunk lid has held strong for over a year now and is showing no signs of letting go at all.

about 4 months ago i ripped all the v1se off my doors and after cleaning them very well i put in 2-3 layers of v1se2 which is butyl based and much more pliable than the original v1se.

it went on smoothly and so far it is holding up very well.

i also painted on several coats of v3 while i had the door panels off.

that might help the deadener stay in place.

i say that the new v12 and v1se2 are good products for their price.

sure there are better products out there and if you have the money i wouldnt hesitate to buy rammat or any second skin product.

but if you are deadening on a budget then eDead is a solid choice.

All the other eD deadeners ive used have fallen off.

But the butyl ones seems to hold up a bit better than the asphalt so who knows how well it will stand up against 120deg
