what are your guys opinions on the splw12's?

i am looking for a pair of subs that will handle a least 1000 watts RMS per sub..i found these from spl, what are your guys opinions on these, or are there some similar subs out there with same wattage. I know of power acoustik, but two wired in will give me .5 ohms, and my amp can't handle that, so those are out of the question.. any suggestions..?
