What are some of the Weakest subs you ever used?

I had a Series 1 10 when they first came out. They were actually good sounding subs. Still have a first year JL 10W1.

Trying to compare any sub of that period with something of today is apples and oranges though. Power was so expensive 10 years ago that subs had to be super efficient and thus needed a relatively big box to get low. Good thing for cabin gain. Let you get the lows in a medium sized box with modest power.

mtx road thunder 4000's tens
x2 lol MTX RT10's were the best. Not sure if mine were the 4000's or not, they werent too bad though. 250 watt RMS, sent about 300 to them, they were alright.

Not bad subs actually for my reg. cab, I just had them up until about 2 weeks ago.

back when i was 17 i had a pair of Crossfire 12's costed 89.99 for a pair of em, that supposedly handled 200 rms, in a 1.25 cu ft sealed box with a Jensen amp 600 watt and i blew em in a day after playin Three 6 mafia songs lol, so weak sounding, the worst i've had besides a walmart Sony, a pile of shit.

The sorry-est subs I ever owned were in a pre-fab, 3-way per channel ,with 2 12s

Similar to this, but it had a mid on each side. It was Sparkomatic, I bought it at Western Auto back in 1995.

I think I win so far.

My next system consisted of two Targa 10's in a Sealed box I made way too big, ~3 cubes for two tens. Alas it was my first box I built.

First Pair of subs were Kicker Competition (Not comp) C12. Mad eback in the glory days they still pound in a buddies car. I even had a sweet Audiobahn 125w amp that still powers them to this day.

Its amazing that subs and amp around 20 years old still make the ground pound.

lol...you beat me too it...my buddy had one of these walmart type prefabs...would blast it against the back window of his saab...the horns sounded like sand paper on glass...

An old *** Legacy sub that had a purple surround and said 450 watts on the dust cap. That thing was terrible and would bottom out with 35 watts from a home stereo reciever.

MTX 6000s were pretty weak as well and didn't like abuse at all. Neither did the 8000 really but somehow, I still have one that I bought when they first came out and it has taken everything I have thrown at it. It looks like shit but still performs almost decently.
