From a non-marketing point of view, no wine & cheese BS, any competent product is

From what I hear Harman Kardon makes pretty good stuff. I've heard polk stuff and I liked it alot. There is one company I can't remember the name. It was a german company. By far better sounding than anything I've ever heard. It was kind of a weird name. And was about 3k per speaker.
