What are some good rock bands to download?

Hey I have grew up in the "hood" my life, my school was 90% black, I was the only white kid, so I only listened to rap all my life. As I move and meet new people I listen to some rock and I want to know some good rock bands since Im still a noob at this shit. I like that hardcore shit, with talent on the guitar, not the bullshit they play on the radio like that **** annoying conquest song and all the songs played by that guy. Any good suggestions to download?

I like all of it, I listened to it growing up and listen to a show called Harder Faster here in Boston sometimes at night but I never have any clue wtf any of them are saying.
