What are some good cheap 2nd battery options?

I am going to install another amp and will need a 2nd battery. For putting in the trunk or something, what is a good company that isn't too expensive? Also will I need 0 or 4 gauge wire for hooking it up? And is a capacitor and 2nd battery the same thing?

If used is the way to go then maybe used. I will be at about 1200 watts after this installation, do you think I need to just replace my main starting battery, or throw in a capacitor, or just throw a 2nd battery in? What are the pros and cons of caps vs. batteries?

caps really dont do much ,an extra battery will be better and help feed the power to the amp you need ,i have a guy coming from oregon this week for some batteries ,i could prolly piggy back one for you to. they are used odyssey 2150 for 150 each.these are 1 year old but only used for 6 months ,in great shape too.send me a pm if interested

I've been reading a lot of people saying that getting a 2nd battery kills the alternator (unless it's upgraded high output) and caps are pointless and wastes of money. If I'm about to be running 1200 watts of audio power what do I need to do other than the big 3 to make it work out?

Also I don't want to buy a battery yet, I would rather do research for a while first. Thanks for the offer though!
