What are some good budget 6.5s and 6/9s

I was recently reading a test of a bunch 6.5 inch budget components in a Russian magazine, and they gave surprisingly high marks to MB Quart ONX components. They gave relatively flat frequency response on and off axis, with low distortion, and a positive listening test. These got the same marks as Focal IS165 ($300 set at crutchfield.com) and scored better than Polk DB. The crossovers even give three levels of tweeter attenuation, which is something you don't always expect from cheap speakers. Sonicelectronix sells these for under $80. You probably can't go wrong with these.

Also, I am not so sure about the usability "Dayton" speaker recommendations from PE store. There is no 6.5 inch version of Dayton woofers I believe, but there is 7 inch. Anyways. These are not car "comps". These are raw drivers without crossovers designed primarily for DIY home audio. They'd need considerable tuning with active crossovers to work well in a car. The Bravox comps available from PE are either 5-1/2 inch or 5x7, but not 6x9 on round 6.5 inch. I am not convinced these are high end comps, but they have good reviews and the prices being in 50-70 dollar range are very low for this type of speaker.
