what are some good 10" for rock music!!

My Diamond M6 rocks with..um, Rock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

The new version is the D6. I hear good things about RE SE, and Soundsplinter RL-p's as well.

Just an FYI - if you're looking for 10"s for rock because you think they'll sound 'tighter' or cleaner, that myth is false. You do have 12" and 15" options also if you so choose. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No love for the 18''s? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

They are not cleaner or tighter but the smaller subs 8inch vs 18inch within the same line have different freq responses. The -3db down on smaller subs is usually higher than that on bigger subs. Smaller subs might be able to hit a 60hz note a little easier or naturally than an 18 inch sub and an 18 inch sub would be able to play down to 20 hz a little easier. This does not mean that they both cannot play those notes but all things being equal there is a shift in freq response. Also notice that the Fs is higher on smaller drivers and lower on bigger drivers.

Not sure why, I am just referring to the response curves that the manufactures supply. So you are saying if you put an 8 inch sub in a box with a QTC of .707 and an 18 inch sub in a box with a qtc of .707 that the response curves would be identical and that the 8 inch sub would not roll off a little earlier on the low end. Some response curves for example on an 8 inch sub it peaks at 65 hz and with an 15 inch sub it might peak at 55hz, the curve looks has the same shape but it seems to be shifted 5 or 10 hz.

there's some subs out there where the 15" version has a higher Fs than the 12"........an RL-P is an example

i like image dynamics subs

Forget what I said about FS. What I am saying and I speak from experience not theory and numbers on this, if you take an 8 inch L5 and a 15 inch L5 and put them both in an enclosure with a qtc of .707,and play a song that has 3 long rolling bass notes at 70 hz then down to 50hz and then down to 30 hz you will notice that the 8 inch sub sounds a little louder on the top end and the 15 inch sub sounds a little louder on the low end (all things being equal) even though they both play all freq.
