What amps should I go with?

What is your preference?

A little background info....

Right now I'm running a Xenon X100.4 for my Type X comps off channels 1 and 2 and my Kicker S8L5 (dual 4 ohm) off channels 3+4 bridged. The amp is kinda beat, but I got it off a friend fairly cheap and it still works great.

I'm interested in SQ for the comps. Bi-amping with a 4ch would be ideal for me.

For the sub, extreme SQ isn't that important. I like detailed bass, but I also like it a little loud and punchy. I figured the tiny L5 in a small sealed box (0.5 cf) would fit the bill pretty well here. I've been happy with the results so far. I know there are better subs out there for this kind of application, but hey, I snagged it for only $40 new...

My budget is around $350-400 for both amps, so here are some possible choices I've been considering:

I think the PG's might be your cheapest bet.

I had (sold it) an entry level PG 75x2 amp recently. I was VERY impressed with its range, sound, and cost. This compares with a Kicker 700.5 (fronts only) and my current 9.4 amps. They are a good product and a very good price.

Xenon makes good amps but i never messed with them personaly, jbl i have owned and can say they are very solid amps

I've been looking at those two brands for quite some time now. I can get the 2 GTO amps I mentioned for $400 locally from an authorized dealer.

The Infinity's, on the other hand, I can get from hifisoundconnection for $338 shipped.

I like the looks and specs of the JBL's, and I've read some decent things about the Infinity's.

Good info. Anyone else care to vote+comment?
