What is the best/cheapest 800 watt RMS at 4-Ohm amplifier I can get?

I need to power TWO 12" Kicker CompVR 4-Ohm subwoofers each at 400 watt RMS.

Does changing the sub from 4-Ohms to 1-Ohm change the wattage of the sub itself? Lets say I had a 400w RMS at 4-Ohm and I wired it to a 2-Ohm. Would it be 400w RMS at 2-Ohm then?

doesnt change the wattage of the sub it self but the ohm load limits you to what amp you would want to run . changing ohm loads changes how much wattage comes out of an amp not the wattage of a sub . you want a 1 ohm amp because your subs will wire to 1 ohm final load

news flash guys ,his subs are single voice coils 4 ohm so he needs a amp that runs at 2 ohms .i have a polk amp that will work for you 120 shipped

If theyre CompVR's aka CVR's like he states hey have to be DVC unless they are like the 2001 models.

If theyre just Comp then yes they would be SVC

Posting of the subs specs states DVC4ohm, a pair will give him a choice of running @1ohm, or@4ohms depending on how he wires them
