What amp?

I just looked and the manual said the amp recomended 10 gauge wire?
That is smaller than your using right now. You are fine with 8 and 9 gauge. It might be the CD player your using has a poor preamp output voltage. Do you have a subwoofer level adjustment on the CD player ?

 
How is that a proublem?
I think capacitor's are a waste of energy. They store volts but are not efficient so it's a waste. You should get rid of that cap and by a better battery. I'm not saying the cap is your problem, I'm just saying they are not efficient and they put a strain on your charging system to store the energy.
