what amp?

i have a 12'' kicker l7 (08 model) dual 2 ohm version. i am in the market for an amp obviously a mono amp but there are soo many choices, my budget is 250 bucks which isnt much but i want to get one that can really MOVE this sub. any suggestions?

no a 750 is not enough at all i wouldnt even waste my time installing an amp under 1000 watts for this woofer.

why the gain from a 750 to 1000 isnt that much more why waste the money? a 750 is fine...

well i just dont like running the amp at full power just to get it to move the sub. think about it my l7 is 750 rms.

you dont have to max your gain out to get it to move... ive had 4 or 5 kicker subs. i had an 12in 08 L7 also with a zx750.1, gain maybe half and it moved.

thats a nice amp but its not a mono.

ok i just picked up a used but in perfect working order jl audio 1000/1 and soon to install it. i got it for 320 bucks! which is an amazing deal i believe this amp retails for over 600 dollars brand new so i am very happy with my purchase and i think its a little bit overkill for my sub but for that price i didnt think twice about buying it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That's a heck of a deal on that jl audio 1000/1, they go for upwards of $800 in a brick and mortar store and $600 online. Hope it all works out for ya.

I have a challenge for you. I want you to find me an amp that produces 2000 watts RMS @ 4 ohms for $320. That JL Audio 1000/1 will deliver 1000 watts RMS between 1.5 and 4 ohms.
