spend the extra 100 and get a 1200.1 that will push it without going into thermal shut off. my friend is "trying" to push his 600.1 into 1 ohm so far so bad....... he is also running 4 ga wire so i doubt if his wire is to blame

I have two 12" type R's with a JBL 1200.1 amp. My custom box will be done tomorrow I will let you know how it sounds. The subs will be wired in series inside the box and run in parallel to the amp then bridged. I don't think the 600.1 will have enough power to really push those subs. Go with the 1200.1

how do you bridge a one channel amp (jbl 1200.1), not possible

ITs firemx220

The JBL 1200.1 says it is a mono amp but has channels for front and rear speakers. So some people should know what they are talking about before they open their mouths and look like an ***!

the owners manual ...(its on line at jbls site) says that the extra speaker hook up is for "ease of connecting multiple speakers) meaning it isnt more channels.....duh. bridging an amp is combining 2 channels into 1 to make more power into that single channel. so you cant bridge this amp. it does have multiple INPUTS but that is to make it non fading.....................so i guess you should follow your own advice huh? to drive speakers you need outputs NOT inputs...besides with a freq response of 10 hz- 320 hz i bet that would do your mids and highs real good huh?http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/CAR/Owner%27s%20Manual/BP1200-1%20om.pdf

they have pretty pictures for the reading challenged as well.
