What amp should I use?

Street Duty SDC2.5-12-D4 Subwoofer

those are the aq sdc 12 dual 4 ohm. Planning on running them on a 1 ohm load but I cant decide between amps. so far I have looked at an aq1200 and 2200 and I have looked at a sundown sax-1200 and saz 2500 but if you have any other ideas let me know.

Can I ask what made you choose that amp? and will it do more at lets say 13v

i may get flamed at for this but personally i wouldn't touch a sundown amp...such a waste of money IMO. AQ is at least half the price and does the same exact thing. both amps are underrated, strappable, put out clean power and can take a considerable amount of voltage.

I am just trying to build a quick system for a good price. I am trying not to spend more than 12-1500 I am running a stock alt and no extra batteries right now still need to do the big 3 so ya....

so your getting/have a pair of those 12 it seems... well AQs website recommends 600w or so to each so the 2200 would be overkill. 1200 would be a good fit.

go with the 1200. puts out the power those audioques are gonna want. if you plan on adding to the setup you can always buy another and strap them together

Big 3, yes. Extra batt...if you already have one to go in then sure, otherwise I'd install the amp first and see if it's needed.

i prefer dc level 3

bigger voice coil 3 inch compared aq 2.5 and better sounding sub 150 shipped

much better subs imho. aq is not as good of a sub as these 2 and around the same price after shipping as the skar and dc sound price are shipped
