What amp is more powerful?

What amp is more powerful? The Phoneix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 or the Directed Audio 1100 watt mono amp? Both amps are priced around $750. How much is the 2000 watt Crossfire Amp and can it outdo both of these amps?

your kidding me right? the directed is only 1100 watts and the phoenix gold is 1400 watts both are stable down to 1 ohm if you can get either of these for about the same price get the phoenix gold because thats a steal at that price. and the crossfire would most likly out do both of these but at an mrsp of $1559 of course this is probably way over what you can find it on the net for.

I would think the Directed would be more underrated that the pheonix gold. I wouldn't assume the DEI is 1100 watts and I doubt the PG puts out 1400. I would assume the PG puts out slightly more than the DEI.. no more than the rated 100 watts.

The PG is rated at 600 x 1 @ 4ohms and 1200 x 1 @ 2ohms. People have benched it at doing about 1450 watts...

The Directed 1100D was rated up to 1400 watts dynamic power with potential of 1500watts. From people who have used both, the PG doesn't compare.

sorry guys i have right here a book with almost every amplifier and all the information is sent from the manufacturer so unless you can prove the manufacturer wrong then don't say anything and phonnix gold doesnt over rate their sh!t

No...they under-rate it...I've seen guys bench one at 1499.02 watts...Jmac has a birthsheet with one doing 1500 or 1550.

every amp that comes from the manufacturer is gonna be different.

Who said it was overrated? Everyone has agreed that both are underrated to my knowledge. I was just unaware of how underrated PG was. I have seen many people swap out PG amps to Directed. But that is probably based on my location and what is sold out here.

get the pheonix gold they are workhorses It will put a 1 ohm load all day and not even break a sweat. directed are nice amps to. But I think the Pg power is cleaner. and at that price it is a steal.

I have the 1500d and it hits harder than 1200. I had the 11ood and that hiy harder than 1100 wrms. I had both at peak but it was rms b/c I have a line driver. Well an epic 150 to be exact. Get that and you can look at peak numbers, without it look at teh rms numbers.
