What amp installation kit should I buy?

For me, I just went with my amp manufacturer’s recommended fuse size. I don’t know what amp you have, but it’s manual should give a recommended size.

Yeah but that's the problem.. the manufacture just says that it can handle up to 250amp, that's all, no more information..

A 200 or 250 amp fuse should work fine. 80 amp fuse is too small.

My JL 1500 recommends a 150 amp fuse. Since you’re running over 1500 you could also do two runs of that cable your dad has to make sure your amp is getting plenty of juice.

Spend the money. Buy 1/0 OFC.

I better take my 250a fuse out then. An installer put a 250a on my DD amp in my truck. It's only a 900 watt amp with 4 gauge wire.

My bad ,I didnt mention that my sub is only 750 rms but my amplifier can do 1800 rms. although i'm planing to change that sub to something better.
is that ok to run a 4 gauge wire with something like 150amp fuse? or its too risky?

It really needs 0 gauge ofc. That’s exactly why it’s cutting off now with that cheap 4 gauge. So ofc 4 gauge may still not be enough. That amp is power hungry. If you’re broke and your dad’s cable is free (to you at least) then you “could” run two of those cables through one 200 amp fuse, but ideally you want to buy some ofc 0 gauge cable so you know you’re set.

1,800 watts ÷14.4 volts = 125 amps of of fusing. So, I would just switch to a 150 amp fuse for now and see what happens. If you have the money, then, just bite the bullet and get some 0 gauge.

Your fuse is determined by the wire not the amp. Four gauge shouldn't be fused at more than 150.

ok I understand, so meanwhile I will use my dad's 4 gauge wire with 120amp (as I saw on most kits with 4 gauge ofc wire) just for the system to work, because now it is not working at all, I belive it is enough for a single 750 rms sub, and when I will upgrade my speakers and subwoofer I will buy a proper 0 gauge wire.
