what amp for 2 l7's

but some people say kicker sq on their amps isnt that good so what do you recommendthanks
You're not going to hear a difference between a Kicker amp and any other amp when correctly set up. Most of the sq and amp theories you will hear are complete garbage.

ok so 2 l7's 12" with a 1500 kicker amp should slam pretty hard

and also if i dont have the room to do the right size box for ported will a sealed box that has the right amount of room sound better than a ported with not enough airspace

thanks

the zx1500.1 is also a very nice amp. Depending on the cubic feet you give the enclosure will determine a lot. L7s were really directed more towards ports and to be loud. In a sealed box you may not get the sq due to the fact that there may not be enough air space especially for 2. I'm not for sure but I think they need a minimum of 1.5 cu. feet each. About how much room do you have to work with? Give some dimensions and I'll let you know. I had my kickers in a sealed box when I first got them because I was waiting on my ported box to get here and when I got the ported box it was like they opened up to a whole different level of sound.

With the right build of a box, with the room you have, one of your 12" l7 could possibly hit harder and have better sq than the 2 of them together. It's not always how many subs you have.

Build your own box. It's easy, cost efficient, and you can do it to whatever spec you want. You can leave it sealed and use the plan you've drawn up. Just make sure the subs have the right amount of space otherwise you won't get the sound you are wanting. A sealed box will do the job just make sure you do it right. Surf the net and you can find some box designs specifically for your truck and get some ideas. Do you have a tonneau cover for the bed? You could go all out in the bed of the truck if you have it covered.

yes i have it covered i was told i could put like 6 15's or more in my bed and make it port into the cab of the truck what else could i do

and the only thing with buliding my box is i am too lazy and it seems to difficult and time consuming.

if i dont port it into my cab will i be able to hear it or feel it at all and if i do something like that i was thinking of like 6 18's lol i have alot of room back there
