what amp for 2 l7's

i am going to be pushing 2 12"s l7's in a ported box so my questions is what is about the best amp to push them and get all the powere out of them possible and still have decent sound quality

i have about a 350 dollar budget and stuff on ebay is included because i found a kicker brand new 1500.1 for 330 but some people say kicker sq on their amps isnt that good so what do you recommend

u've been misleaded. The SQ is completely fine. Kicker amps are quality amps. the zx1500 is a perfect match for those subs, just make sure you get the right convig for the subs

hifonics 1606 is a good choice as well. sundown 1500, find them used on the forums for your budget

Kicker amp quality is fine. I had an 850.2 pushing my first 15l7 and it sounded fine. There are better amps out there but kicker sq isn't bad.

ok thanks yes i am going to get dual 2 ohms so they equal 2 ohms together so they are getting 1500 also should i put a capacitor with this or no and also will my battery and alternator be able to handle this wattage

also i might add i have 600 watts of addational fog lights on my truck as well

get the capacitor out of our head. They're useless. If you feel that you need additional amperage, first do the big3. do a search and find out about the big3. easiest upgrade you can do before purchasing a battery or HO alt. I would get a HO alt before a new battery just because its a better upgrade

create a new thread asking for someone to build you a box and you'll have a ton of guys at your door. Vitveet is a someone you can ask

Yeah the cap will do absolutely nothing for you. Go with the big3 that's all you need. Caps are overated unless you are putting out some serious power then it can be useful but you won't need a new battery or anything. Do the big3 and hook it up and enjoy.

I did the big3 and that seemed to make a bit of a difference. If you use to small guage of wire it won't help. I would recommend 4 ga or bigger. Also, make sure the motor is cooled off. I made the mistake of doing it while hot and ended up burning the hell out of my arm.

ok well what if i already have 4 guage wire i am not sure how big it is but its pretty thick wire i have a 150 5.4l v8 so it might be big enough wire not sure will have to look

Check the wiring that's there. Replace it with the 4 ga because it will help.
