What amp for 12" Type X?

it was probably the box, shouldn't sound muddy in a properly built box (and I have run type r's)

Ok, so heres a question. In order to keep the box size to a minimum, what about 2 10" type R's? Probably in 3-3.5cf tuned to 32hz. Is that an option? Of course upgrading the amp to 1000rms.

I think 3.5cf for anything is the absolute maximum. 3cf box is ideal.

you guys are welcom to offer any other subs that's work well with that space and 1000-1200rms. And I also think im geared to a final 2ohms output.

u might be able to squeeze a 15 in then if u can do 3.5cu.ft. ported.

but a 3.5cu.ft. ported box is usually more like 5cu.ft. internal after port displacement FYI

the box I am using now is 3.5cu.ft. and 36"x19"x16" (that's a tad over 5cu.ft. internal)
