What amp do you recommend?

My amp went out on me about a week ago, or at least I think it did. What it does is, when I 1st turn on the HU the amp turns on, and the speakers give a little thump, but when I start playing something the subs just won't do anything. I checked and made sure everything was still connected good, and it is. I don't know what it could be, so I just figure something is wrong with the amp.

Anyway I am running 2 12" Soundstream Tarantula subs, t2 series. They can handle 1000wats rms apiece. They are dual 1ohm voice coils. I need a mono-block amp that is stable at 1 ohm. So my question is what amp would be best suited for these two subs?

your rca's may be dissconnected if there is a turn on but no playing. btw where in tn are you?

Also I don't exactly have a whole lot of money to spend on this either, so the lower the price the better, but I don't want some crap either I want something thats going to last.

Yea that is the 1st thing I checked. I figured one just came loose or something, but they were still connected. I even took the headunit out and checked the rca cables there too.

I'm in Huntingdon, Tn. Its in west Tn if you don't know where huntingdon is.
