What 6 by 9 speakers to get?

those pioneer speakers look awesome. i noticed the frequency response is on the lower side. does that make much of a difference between speakers?

Man if at all possible you should try and go old school 6x9's in that car. Shame most of the speakers made back then even if you could find them new had foam surrounds that would have deteriorated by now like some original Jensen Triaxials.

I have a nice old pair of Cerwin Vega CS-18A HED's with the cast aluminum frames (Made in the USA, not the foreign crap CV is currently peddling), the horn tweeter that is integrated into the grill and a tweeter protector with a reset button right in the grill. These babies were like $249/pr back in '79 - '80 that I could sell you reasonably cheap. They are top mount only though since the solid metal grill is integrated onto the speaker. The surrounds are pleated material with a coating on them so they won't ever wear out. They have huge 6-8lb magnets as well.

If your rear window is at angle that you could fit them in they would certainly do that old muscle car justice.

yea man i dunno yet about those old school speakers cause i wanna get some really good speakers and those pioneer revs looks pretty tempting to buy

they would match the inside of the car too. so i dunno waht im goin to pick yet. and i will amp the pioneers if i get them just becuase i will only have 2 speakers in the car and then the 2 subs in the trunk.

Hey All,

I got the pioneer rev speakers. now im ready to amp them up cause they sound really nice off the HU. waht type of amplifer should i get for them. can you guys suggest any mid-level to high-level amps i should get for the 2 pioneer 6 by 9 revs?

Honestly with it being a classic I would run to Wally World get the Sony $100 package there with the 6x9 and 6.5 and HU and add your sub to it. Weird as it seems but I wouldnt want to tear the shit out of THAT car for audio.
? Am I missing something here? He's still going to be installing INTO his classic car so why would it make a difference if he uses some cheap *** shit that will break in a week or if he uses quality stuff that he won't have to remove tomorrow?
