What 6 by 9 speakers to get?

Hey All,

I currently drive a 69 nova all stock interior, windows, has 33,000 miles, etc., it is a V8 307Hp. I would like to put a nice sound system in it because otherwise all I can do is listen to AM radio, which gets really boring fast. I bought a Pioneer Deh-6700MP deck. I have two 6 by 9 speaker holes in the rear of my car, behind the rear seats and on top, like most cars. I want to put in my two MTX 10" subs that max out at 1200watts and the amp of course which will be a 2000watt amp. I am not quite sure what type of speakers I should buy because I am new with all of this and any help is appreciated. My price range right now is anything up to 250$ a pair. Basically I'm going to have 2 subs in the trunk and two 6 by 9's for speakers. I listen mostly to hip-hop and r&b. I want clarity as well as good bass. What speakers are good for my car?

Are you going stealth to keep the dash original? Its cool when the classics are decked out and cant even tell.

I was going to run them off the head unit. Would it be better to get an amp for them? i wanna save as much money as possible haha
Your gonna get a lot of high end ideas on here I think, but if you end up with a $200 pair 6x9s your gonna want an amp. Then your gonna need places to fit everything.

Then thats where the problem lies with classics is the intruding audio equipment unless you dont give a shite.

i definately have places to fit everything. its just that i dont know what frequency responses i should be looking for and also i dont know wheni would need an amp cause my deck does 50wX4 but im only usin 2 speakers. so i have no idea haha

Honestly with it being a classic I would run to Wally World get the Sony $100 package there with the 6x9 and 6.5 and HU and add your sub to it. Weird as it seems but I wouldnt want to tear the shit out of THAT car for audio.

Well, he doesn't have to go cheap (although I do agree with the idea keeping the car original). You can always put the original stuff back in, just don't go drilling holes for amp leads (positive or negative).

All the aftermarket stuff can have one really. The high end stuff performs that way with one though.
sorry your going to have to explain to me..im a noob haha.. i get the aftermarket part but i dont get the one's part
