What 18" for this box?

Because the Q's I've heard are 28-30Hz. Power is going to be about the same for both.

As far as tuning that low, that's fine, but it will be just as fine in 33hz. Also, I have heard that Bls are not very efficient, and therefore need more power. That said, a Q on 1500 watts IMO would be better than a Bl off 1500 watts.

Even the older model Kicker amps (KX1200.1) would work nicely. Save you a few bucks, too.

Just to post about the Bls, this comes from an older thread, but I looked it up just to give you an opinion:

BL's are WEAK woofers in my use of them

i wouldnt call them weak, at least not mechanically. the suspension is stiffer than hell (more so than the btl) and doesnt like to break in, and they use the same coil as the btl.
but i would call them inefficient because they just take so much power to really get moving.

thats what im saying. 3000 watts to my single 12 and it still wasnt near the numbers of 2 of my SSD 10's with 1500 for the pair

well, i have never used the SSD's but wow.
do you remember what each set up hit? id be very interested in hearing this as my friend has 2 18's of the bl's and not NEARLY enough power (3kw) and he is dissapointed. im thinking of recomending him some SSD's

The 2 SSD's did a 141.x to Gucci Mane-Hold That Thought which I think is 33hz, and the BL 12 with an Autotek MM3000 @ 1 ohm did a 137.x

hmm. thats a pretty **** big difference. especially considering power. seeing as me, you, and my friend are not the only ones complaining about the BL's efficiency, i dont know why Fi wouldnt try to soften the suspension up some especially since this is suppose to be a 1kw rated daily beater. like i said, we arent the only ones complaining.
