Kicker ZX350.4 got wet from a leaky trunk. The fuses aren't blown but when power was applied, it smoked a bit. Is it toast? It never sat in water or got directly wet, just was in a leaky trunk for a while.

Probably. Try to power it up and find out? Let it dry completely first though...

EDIT: Wait, you already tried to power it up and that's when it smoked? Was it wet when you powered it up?!

It looked dry on the outside but when I removed it, it was wet on the back where it was mounted.

Didnt know it was wet. We let the trunk dry over the weekend. All the other carpet was dry. The area the amp was in wasnt even wet at the worst time.

I know. It's a guy I work with. He has a lemon of a BMW Z3. That car is such a piece of..... I told him to take it out but he didnt listen to me. Now, no amp.

So I got it apart. Aside from some corrosion/dirt on the solder, everything looks the check out. There isnt any burnt contact, blown up parts, nothing looks out of the norm.

If smoke came out of it before then there definitely has to be something that looks burnt.

Once the magic smoke comes out, you can't put it back in. Something is broken/blown.
