the same amp and headunit, just went back and forth between speakers. at tweeter the pros are 600 as are the polyglass's, the z's are a grand as are the k2's. i know you can get focals for cheaper else where, little harder to find the bostons for cheaper than that, though from what i understand boston and tweeters warranties are awesome.

yeah i like the z6's and from what i've heard they can take a beating, but i'm not buying from an unauthorized dealer if i go the route of boston. plus i've got an ra4200 which is 100x4@4ohm, they just wouldnt do the z6's justice.

Since you already like the BA's go with them. I'm not favoring the Bostons cuz I've only owned them for years (there is a reason for that). I first thought about going with the Focals, but after hearing both of them it was a no brainer to go with the Bostons.

once again, i am somewhat new to the technical aspcets of car audio, do you mean run them through an active crossover or through no crossover at all?

people that use a sound board to judge are pretty clueless. too many times i have heard people think their car sounds like what they heard on the sound board it is alot alot alot different. got to remember a sound board is a CONTROLED environment where u can have on axis or off axis listening. location on the sound board is a key factor as well. in a car its very doubtful in most cases you will get that good of an enclosure and get the "best" axis on a drop in install not to mention correct path lengths.

thanks for the subtle putdown, i appreciate it. anyways all i was saying was that clarity from the focals were noticably better than the bostons and i found this odd because i rarely hear people prefer focal over boston, that's all. i was just curious if anyone had been to tweeter and compared the two brands to see if they had the same results as i did, i never commented about anything any brand being better than another IN A car. i was referring to a specific situation, not the definitve method of comparing components.

No shit! That pisses me off because I went to tweeter the other day and also decided that the K2Ps sounded better than the Z6s. According to the salesman, Tweeter just picked up the focal line. So you think this is a setup? WTF!
