hey guys.. went to a local competition sunday.. it was pretty decent.. not a bad turnout.. heres my question...

why the hell does everyone thing shocker is gods gift to the world? i mean ok.. yeah theyre good SPL subs.. but there if it wasnt shocker it wasnt shit. i kept going up to people like hey what are you running.. and i got " //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif SHOCKER! what else dumbass??" its liek okkkk... liek 7/10 people at the comps who knew what they were talking about (kinda) had monster shocker erections.

just curious as to why this is. is it liek that for comps around your towns or is it just here (it was kinda liek that last year at this same show)

one guy had DD 9500s (impressive BTW) and the rest was pretty much kicker.. minus some random stuff here and there. and a MONSTER SPL truck that did 135 dbs with 4 T2 15s in a wall with 800 sq in of port area and like 13 kwrms.. hahahahaha everyone laughed

It's just your town.

You'll see Kicker at every competition you go to. You won't see Shocker at every competition you go to.

I got Shocker.....I want an RE.......Can't afford DD.....Don't want Kicker.....Probably gonna go Pioneer....Yep Pioneer!

I think you will find the majority of Shocker users in Ohio but I could be wrong? Its a good sub but unless you got "connects" for re-cones.....You're better off with something else.

4 T2 15s and only 135db, i would of died laughing, there are people with single 10 that easily hit higher than that, prolly a couple single 8s that hit higher than that

well duh everyone knows his prob, either a it wasnt a shocker

or b it wasnt RE,

i know what you mean man. i went to one sunday, and here it's all about treo. one guy had 2 dd 10's in boxes with horns*cant remeber the proper term atm* and they all laughed when he got in the lane, but he hit a 149 and they all shutup.

subs : 2 12" pioneer 2000SPL's, 750 RMS 2000 Peak

power: 800 watts RMS

110 amp alternator

box: 1.75 cu.ft @35hz each sub

vehicle: station wagon

4 guage power wiring, 12 guage to subs

All i know is that it makes my rear view mirror drop down pretty quickly.... initial loudness isnt that much to cause pain but a good minute or two of listening makes my ears ring and gives my passengers headaches.

Its common, locals team together behind one brand in a small town or rural community. Its no great mystery, in a small setting like that, all it takes is one very good and/or convincing local saleman or shop, or maybe just started with one or two local competitors running Shockers while nobody else in town knew the difference between their poop shoot and a pole vent. So they win alot and all the locals think its their equipment. *shrug* Bring a properly setup MT to the next show and shock them.

I plan on shockin some people with my MT. I had a some guys tell me I couldnt hit atleast 140db with 1 12".
